how are these chips for c2d overclocking wise?

i'm thinking about building a system for my wife and if i do, she's getting the core 2 duo system. going to build a e6400 w/ 680i chipset and overclock the hell out of it.

if i decide......and the AMD will still be my main rig

What Wanker says or the ones I have and recommend: G.SKILL DDR2 800 2GBHZ.

That Mushkin kit is great but a little too much for D9s, they're like Corsair, overcharging for quality ICs when you can find then for a little less.

Then there's the Crucial 667 kit which has D9s but the G.Skill and Xtreem are better binned.

Any proof for that claim?

If you're thinking of spending that much you should look into these

OCZ Platinum 2GB $410
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227091

They're D9GKX

Or these

Crucial Technology 2GB $240

They're are D9GMH

Crucial 2.40v @ 1000mhz with active cooling, remember.

G.Skill 2.25V @ 1000mhz w/o active cooling: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=128537

Dominator 4-4-4-12 @ 555mhz, hand picked D9s.

So now it's a single pair to judge them all? Yours did it at 2.25 but what proof do you have all the G.Skill HZ will do it at the same volts?

EDIT: And that doesn't prove they're better binned, just proves that you got a good kit

Looking at the thread I see 2.1-2.4 for 1000mhz, that is a pretty big range for chips that are "better binned", don't you think?
