So I've purchased another 1 TB Seagate Barracuda, and an Intel 520 120 GB SSD for RAID 1 and booting. They're shipping as we speak! The HDD is on a truck to my house, and the SSD has no tracking info yet. frown.gif

Oh well. Now my task will be to back up all my data with Acronis and then restore it to the HDD, and SSD. Then I'll need to clean the un-needed files off the SSD, and keep them just on the HDD's. That's the only bummer with getting an OEM version of Windows. frown.gif

I've now installed the SSD, after a long while of trying to figure out which way to put it in to work best, and after about 6 different installations I got it working. smile.gif Speeds are amazing! Windows boots in about 10 seconds, and logs on and starts to fold in around 1 second or so. thumb.gif

I've sadly run out of SATA cables though, so I'll need to buy myself a SATA 3/6 cable for installing the second hard drive for RAID 1. I'll probably get a 6 GB cable just for upgradeability in the future.

Again though, speeds are amazing! smile.gif

I set up the RAID 1 last night, and after a few hours of messing around, I got it working correctly. I was getting an error where the I/O wasn't working, then Boot MGR was corrupt, but I fixed it all.

I also cleaned up the cables A LOT, now there are only required cables that are too short to go behind the mobo that are showing, and my temps have dropped 5 C on my CPU in doing so. I also dusted the case, so it's clean as of now, but since it's on a floor, it'll get dirty pretty quick. wink.gif

If you have any questions post, and I'll reply. If you have any comments, or tips post them, and I'll reply to them too. smile.gif

Well, little update here. I bought a EVGA 670 Sig2 FTW card, but sadly had to RMA it because it had a terrible coil whine. Hopefully the new card should be here early January, then some pictures will be uploaded. smile.gif Cable management from changing the cards out has gone wonky, and the case is a mess. Oh well, I'll figure it out later. smile.gif
