Upgrade using `very` stable 955BE and GTX560TI.

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I have a very stable X4 955BE at 4GHz running on my Asus Sabertooth mobo, with 16 GHz Corsair Ram.

If I was to upgrade this CPU and GPU, what would you advise...?

Gaming on my 42" Plasma Panny, GTX560TI.

I play FPS and RPG, dont do much multiplayer but I do like Skyrim, Metro 2033, Rage, Witcher 2, and most importantly Crysis....and Crysis 2

I want to get the best gaming I can so am willing to listen and upgrade accordingly, also could you spec me the best GPU for my rig, dont mind Nvidia`s or Radeon`s ( always had Nvidia, so maybe a change ?)

I was going to defect to `the other side` but heard that AMD were bringing out new kit so willing to go for it.

No or minimum bottlenecks, was thinking a 7950 for the card...??

Thanks in advance..

If you can afford a 7950 one card is simpler, more efficent, and less prone to SLI/Crossfire glitches.
The 560Ti still has resale value, or can be used as a Physix card if you go Nvidia rather than AMD.

Sell it and buy 1 powerful single card. The phenom 2 does not play well with dual cards.

HD 7950 is a good choice. with an overclock to 1.15 Ghz it will be clearly faster than GTX 560 Ti SLI. a single GPU is always the best choice.
