[Yahoo/AP] Early look at Windows 8 baffles consumers - Page 13

Just a little tip, if you guys want to slowly get used to the metro UI, use Start8.

It almost EXACTLY replicates Windows 7's start menu, with an option to use the Windows 8 start menu whenever you want, and will act as the primary start menu. Should help people get used to Windows 8 metro start menu.

We're putting too much thought into this people. I think Windows 8 is meant for people who never used a computer before.

I use W8 at work (OLP FTW biggrin.gif got it a month ago) The metro UI (under the windows key) is faster than the start menu ever was. Once you have your frequently used programs added. You can open any task or setting in 1 click.. 1. The difference now is you use the keyboard too, so windows key + 1 click = windows key, click this menu, this menu, and then click program. The W8 UI is an improvement, some parts are stupid, but its moving in the right direction, its rare you get functionality, speed, and... okay looks in one

Lol, so many people not liking it, it should be named Windows H8 (pronounced "hate").

I though this was getting killed? or blocked? Or something....

I will have to try it again...I haven't done it since the earlier betas.

Who uses the mouse in combination with the windows key...it is windows key + type three letters or so + arrow key down if needed and/or just press enter.
