Why does it suck?
$20 for 2GB is alot better than $10 for 200mb. would you want to pay $100 for 2GB? because that would be a 1:1 price on 2GB vs 200MB.

I'm a customer, change affects me. Every penny counts for me rolleyes.gif.

My data usage is under 100mb wink.gif Also, for the $20 more a month I could go back to the unlimited 5GB plan wink.gif. I bought into this whole smart phone craze, but I'm a light user; as soon as I'm done with their contract I'm going prepaid. They also screwed up my billing several times and it took 6 months to correct it, so I'm not too happy with them at all.

Hmm yeah i suppose if you were only using 100mb/mo then going back to prepaid is better. I couldn't justify the cost of a smartphone if i was using it so little.......

So dumb question. How do OCN T-Mo users like T-Mo? I'm strongly considering switching over from Verizon if this ghost-line maneuver to keep unlimited turns out to be more expensive than it's worth.

For me its an ok cheap carrier to use compared to Verizon and AT&T ( Never going back to AT&T) My dad has about 5 people, 4 with smartphones 1 with a dumb phone. Pay 180 for a month ( After haggling the price down a lot.) At first we had to do the required 5gb plan (made it skyrocket to $350 phone bill) for rebate purposes then downgraded 2 phones to 200 and 2 phones to 2gb. Happy with my phone since i modded it to heck and broke it once because i was being dumb.

I have a value plan and for 120$ a month I get unlimited No cap 4g from Tmob. My fastest HESP+ have gotten 15mb++ i sit @ 6mb all day and it goes up and down ... i use about 4gb a month thanks to netflix and other streaming things on my S3 ... so yeah it is great and does eevrything I need or that I want u know! biggrin.gif

But for two line @ 120$ a month for unlimited and there "truly" unlimited 4g .... faster then my work 9 out of 10 times.

As a heavy user, I enjoy tmobile. It allows me to do all the things I want to do without getting charged crazy fees like I would on ATT, or losing the sim card (and thus quick swapping of devices) with verizon.

Everyone *****es about how it has worse phone reception but TBH I've never had issues with dropped calls or anything unless I'm in an elevator or something.

If you actually buy a phone from them, they're full of bloat, but that's true with all subsedized phones. The nice thing is they're very good about unlocked phones. They don't charge you extra fees or anything stupid like other carriers. It gives you the choice in the long run to save money (and bloatware) by buying less frequent unlocked phones, or have the opportunity to upgrade constantly for reduced prices with subsidized phones.

The only thing I really have to complain about is that I used to very frequently go over my data tier limit. This forced me to very slow data speeds for the rest of the month. Even then, I can't really complain a whole lot because on another carrier, I'd be getting charged a couple hundred extra a month because of it, or get my data just shut off entirely. At any rate, it's a moot point now that I'm living in an apartment where the wifi reaches all the rooms wink.gif

Im paying right at $100 a month for my service after taxes and stuff. Unlimited talk, text, 2gb web plan, and insurance.

$59 for unlimited talk/text
$20 for the internet service
$5 insurance

Ive been with Tmobile 7 years, dont really have any reason to change because other than MetroPCS most phone companies are about the same prices here. Ive had some customer service issues with Tmobile though. I upgraded my talk plan but my monthly charges were going to be the same, the rep also decided that he needed to sign me up for their 10gb data plan without telling me- even though I specified that I didnt want to change my data plan about 10 times on the call. I caught it and had my bill fixed. I get 3-5mbps on their 4g on my SIII.

Are you talking about the $89 Unlimited Nationwide plan? An $89 plan will be over 100 after taxes and fees. Calling a $100 phone bill $80 is off by quite a bit and if hes shopping for a plan try to state accurate numbers. If your plan really is $80 for unlimited everything, I need to find the details so I can get on it biggrin.gif

I would be moving over for their unlimited data plan, so yeah, accuracy in pricing is always appreciated. Thanks so far the the opinions guys. biggrin.gif

Folks I'm talking to locally seem to really like T-Mo, minus their customer service (hopefully a nonissue). It looks more practical than adding a non-data plan phone for $10, swapping the sim card, and dealing with the added cost of another line to keep my Verizon unlimited. It also means another 2 months on my aging Droid X. Le sigh.
