Yeah, it looks like you're heading in the right direction. Just buy a better Socket 1156 CPU and pop it in. i5-750, i7-860, or an Xeon like my X3440 would all work just fine for you. I still don't feel the need to upgrade from my X3440, and I don't think I will for at least a few more years. thumb.gif

Under your profile there should be a "Get Verified lInk" this is where they will link your card/account of choice together and also I think the shipping address is there as well. Its been ages since I've had to change any info so the layouts a bit different than before

this pretty accurate, tho when i got my card verified paypal debited $2 and when that shows on your statement either paper monthly statement or ibanking there will be a code you need to verify that you are the registed user of that card.. then you enter this code in paypal and your a credited the $2 back.. now all you do is send money and your card is debited..

Well I've looked all over and didn't find that, but last night I'm pretty sure I linked my ebay account with paypal, and I've also added my debit card.
Is that pretty much all I need to do?

For the most part, though becoming verified is very important, as some sellers wont sell to unverified addresses or the like, also I wont trust an ebay seller that would sell to unverified addresses lol

EDIT: Yes, when building from scratch, but he isnt so please read the thread next time. A platform change is NOT necessary he can get a i7-875k and be set with a nice base clock of 2.93 and hyperthreading, or simply a i5-760 and have a strong quad to meet his needs

Not everyone needs the latest tech, we just need good enough tech and make it run faster

EDIT 2: just saw a i5-760 for 169 on ebay, not a bad price. i7-875k are almost double the cost so Id stick with the 760

That is so true. A couple months ago while I was looking for a video card, everyone was like "get a 670!" and I was like "but I don't want to spend ALL of my money on 1 card. Which I didn't. I got the 480 I have now while it was on sale and I love it to pieces =) I just need a quad core because some games are still not doing that well on my i5 650.

And so getting verified means I have to either link a bank account or apply for a Paypal plus card or something...
Hmm..if I had a bank account that would be no problem but I don't.

Ugh..first world problems.

When there is a will there is a way!

If you have a credit card that will work also I believe

Nope no credit card. Just a Visa debit card. I did actually make a purchase on Ebay through paypal (bought a backward compatible ps3 for a little under $200) but I don't remember how because that's been a year ago. And they've changed now :O
