Is there any to leave my PC outputting a black image while being turned off/suspended/hibernated?

Now, I know this is a bit of a weird request, but here's my problem:

My monitor since a few months ago doesn't turn on properly, every morning I have to heat it up with a hair dryer so that it turns on. I've checked the problem, and it seems like I need to replace a component and it requires soldering, which I don't have or know how to do.
I could take it to a local shop, but now's a bad time, so I'm going to have to stick with this problem for some more time.

So, I thought of the question in the thread title, maybe if I could leave my PC turned off or suspended during the night while I sleep, and have it outputting a black image (so that the monitor doesn't suspend itself), I could wake up and not have to bother with all the hair dryer stuff.
I could leave my PC turned on, true, but I can't sleep with it turned on with the fans and HDD making noise, even if it's not much, so that's why I'm trying to approach this by a different method.

So, are there any possibilities?

Not possible, since like I said, I need to leave my PC turned off/suspended/hibernated because of the noise while I sleep. :/

Connect all of your fans to a fan controller and idle the desktop at night and turn all your case fans down low to reduce the noise. Maybe check on your Samsung monitor's menus to disable auto-off?

Thanks man! For some reason I didn't reason I didn't think of this before... I checked the monitor options, and although I turned auto-source off (I don't think this has to do with it), I found out that if I remove the DVI cable and leave it turned it remains turned with a black screen and the "No Cable" rectangle box flying around the screen, which is good enough for me. smile.gif
