is there a headset that can be used with xbox 360 and pc? i'm not an xbox person,but i want to get my son a nice set he can use with both. i thought i could get some idea's from the xbox user's?

The Logitech F540

-Wireless

-Stylish

-PC/Xbox/PS3 compatible

-Volume on the headset

-Good battery life per session (I have gone over 6 hours)

-Great microphone

-Good price new on ebay at least when I bought it. it was around $80.

If you go on the headphone section there are tons of people there that will help you. Guides are even written as well! =) If you want a nice set of cans it all depends on your price. Headphone can go past 1000 bucks lol. I got my eyes on some ultrasone pro 900's that cost over 300 bucks. I plan to buy a clip on mic and use a usb port adapter for my ps3 that allows mic and headphones. Of course for my ps3 i have to use a amp for those headphones. Same goes for Xbox.

im not looking to spend a pile of money on xbox headset's. i wish they would have made sound ports for regular headphones. i guess for right now im looking toward the turtle beach headsets? maybe even a creative dac?

I find it laughable that I could spend 200+ dollars on head sets that are specifically designed to be used on a console...and I still have to be tied to a box to play even though they are "Wireless" . -_-

I have turtle beach x12's... not the best but simple and work well. has adjustable bass. plus there like 40-50 bucks depending where you get them. i got mine last year during black friday for 25

Any of the turtle beaches will work for both. I use my TB Delta's for ps3/360/directv/pc because of the optical input, but mostly all of TB's headsets have the analog for pc's as well.
