cant comment on asus screen quality, but if my nexus 7 is a sign at all, ive had to send mine in 3 times and it still hasnt been fixed(sent it in for screen lift, came back with more lift, the bad touchscreen, now they're waiting for parts, instead of replacing my tablet after the third consecutive rma-.-(i owned the tablet for 2months, the tablet has been in my hands for less than a month and devalued a lot since they just pushed out the 32gb version while mine is still stuck in the repair center-.-))

You cannot compare a tablet screen with that on a monitor.

well that and some of those products had screen problems, my bro bought one and hasnt had a single problem, so you just hve bad luck. same with acer, i have a G235h 23" and its been great to me for 6 months straight. cant let single incidents make you never buy from them again
also i woudnt go with the ps3 monitor, cant do 120hz via hdmi, doesnt have dvi-d. and gets bad reviews

also, the ps3 3d display is a horrible choice, even if it says it "supports" 240hz, it does not have dvi-d nor display port, so its limited to 75hz @ 1080p via hdmi

ok then which asus model do you suggest i buy

is it possible for acer G235h to perform 3d over hdmi and besides how is your experience with it while only viewing in 2d

I am asking this because ill be using 2d much more than 3d but still ill be using 3d once in a blue moon so the 2d quality should be exceptional and 3d would be great too i had my mind settled on Acer gd235h but the review for the above post made me wonder

nope, that thing cant even do 120hz...and hdmi does not support 120hz at 1080p, 3d isnt really worth it either imo, very eye straining and pain in the ass to set up. however 120hz 2d is amazing...dont listen to the guys that says you only need a 30hz monitor...difference between 120hz vs60hz is like day and night..its just so..smooth

in either case..dont go for the 235hz, its got too many issues

I'd say BenQ XL2420T if you want solid 3D on an NVIDIA card. Also, it's a matte display - which you may or may not like.

The Asus VG278H is a very solid choice if you don't mind glossy.
It's an excellent monitor in all ways. 144hz, solid 2D performance all round and good 3D performance too. You should read some reviews.

Personally I'm getting the BenQ because it's cheaper, I don't have space for a 27" and I need a matte.

By the way...
DAAAMN you americans! Everything is always 35-40% cheaper at newegg than anywhere in Europe!
Seriously, I'm paying the equivalent of $531 to get a monitor which you can just hop in and get at $389. -.-
