I would like some guidance for my upcoming build. I need to choose a board and a case.
I just ordered an i5 3570k and 16GB RAM. I already have a Corsair H100 cooler and a 256GB SSD.
I would like to create a very classy looking gaming system which will act as my entertainment center. I'm thinking 1 or 2 SSDs and 2-4 HDDs in time.
I want a graphics card of the caliber of a GTX 670. It will likely be upgraded over time.
I want case that is very clean and sleek with as small of a footprint as possible. I am leaning towards the Silverstone Grandia GD08

I feel as though I'd have clearance issues with this case if I were to place it in the "obvious" solution against the side. I could run with one or both fans removed, or I could potentially string 3*80mm fans along the top. I don't need the absolute lowest temps as I will not be pushing high OCs. I'm thinking of lying the rad DOWN and seeing if that might work. It could cause clearance issues with the video card.
As for a board, I value stability and boot time first and foremost. From there I'd like to be able to have the ability to overclock (which I assume forced me into z77). I do not care about getting HIGH OCs. Furthermore I do not care a ton about a number of other features like SLI/CF. SLI and CF would dump a lot of heat and arguably decrease stability too much.
In time I want to set up a very high quality sound station. I don't know the best way of going about this, be it through linking to a receiver via SPIDF or a dedicated sound card.
As I am a soon to graduate college grad who is basically splurging note that while I am not particularly price sensitive(read I have a decent amount of cash coming in from my internship but nothing crazy), funds will be relatively limited until two weeks after I start full time in January, and I need funding for things such as a security deposit and a month's rent. My first consideration is getting a board and a single high capacity harddrive. I currently have enough hardware to run something decent for a while and to then transition into something
