You don't want to be using C if you're building GUIs. You'd need an object orientated language ideally.

C++ yeah, but C++ is object orientated. Regular C is not.

The CoD series all run constant 60fps under Wine ( with hardware to do it, not that it takes much ), all of Blizzards games run on par under Wine as they do with Windows, and there's plenty of examples.
If/When games get native clients they will run just as good as their Windows counterparts. Steams L4D2 runs better than it's Windows counterpart ( only 12 fps better, but better is better ).
No this isn't opinion, and no I'm not going to go search for all the sources for you, if you want sources you can do the research yourself, or if someone else is kind enough to post them then more power to them. I'm just tired and it's late.

Show me the documents!

Kidding, I believe you. But for some reason HoN runs horribly in linux. Chances are I'm doing something wrong though.

Changed the title to 'Linux faults' rather than what it was previously. This thread is fine granted we do not dive into arguments, etc. There's nothing wrong with discussing the faults of an operating system, regardless of whether it's Linux or Windows.

The thread title matched the video title which is what the thread was originally about tongue.gif

Much like keeping news titles the same as their original.

But this isn't a news post, and it's much easier to have a title like this so we don't have 400+ reports in the queue for trolling.
