So tonight a guy is bringing me a new unused 600D for a good price. I"m getting a 55-250 lens with it and i"ll buy an 18-55 so i have both. But i have to test the camera and i don"t have a memory card. I"m buying one tomorrow. I just wanted to ask is it possible to try out the camera withouth the SD card. And take a picture or two.

Also will this class 10 sd card be good and fast enough for HD video and everything else?

You should be able to shoot without the card, but reviewing the photo on the rear LCD is likely not possible.

As far as cards go, I am using a pair of 9 dollar Micro Center brand Class 10s in my D7000 and they are plenty fine for 1080p @ both 30 and 24FPS.

Great, also i just remembered that i have a 2GB micro SD card in my mobile phone and i have an adapter for it. Should it work in a 600D just for testing?
