First time I've mounted the camera to the tripod and started messing with simple ISO and exposure settings. Haven't set up any lighting yet and am really pleased with the results so far. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!







Also shot this one of my little girl on full auto settings and thought it looked pretty good.



I certainly have a whole lot more to learn but I'm having fun and that's all that really matters! thumb.gif

im sure you could have found a bigger computer case hahaha

only advice i can give is to keep shooting and experimenting. thats the best way to learn your camera. also sharing photos is a great way to get feedback on how to improve.

Congrats on the new car sir.

I have a question for you -

Are you using a kit lens or did you buy a separate lens for the D5100 ?

I already purchased a Nikon 35mm f/1.8G lens but i am having a hard time finding the D5100 body only in stock at this moment. Would you suggest i just buy the D5100 with the kit lens since it wont be much more then a body only version ?
