You had a FX-60.

4GB of RAM.

And SLI 7950GX2's.

And that FX-60 was at 3.5Ghz.

What happened?

My 7600GS died last night... Too much core voltage. I turned my computer on and saw a bright flash of light through my case's window. By the time I reached the back of the case for the hard power switch, smoke was rolling out of my exhausts. The core was running at 800Mhz and 2v. I'm on a 2MB PCI ATI POS now (1024x768, 16bpp max).

Well.

I killed my 6800GS from dropping a HDD on it. Went out in a pretty awesome looking but still really sucky spectacle of flying caps, a spark, a cracking sound, my computer beeping madly.

my clock was that high becouse i had GDDR3 and my stock clock was 560/650 another reason is the volt modding that killed it lol. u can try some v modding but try and keep the mem under 2.14v
