[Build Log] Project Snowwhite: A christmas special

Thread Starter
Hi and hello Folks,

this is my first post and my first buildlog. I hope you enjoy it to read this buildlog as I am doing it !
This build will be my christmas present for my wife this year. She is doing a lot of video and picture editing
so the systems has to have a bit of a punch. This shall be a practical build with a nice touch to it, somehow feminine ;-)
The general color scheme will be red, white and black, so that explains the name of the project.

The components (as for now):
Case: Caselabs M10
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3
Processor: i7-3820
Ram: 8GB
Graphics: Nvidia GTX670
Sound: Creative Soundblaster Recon 3D
Fans: Noiseblocker PL-2 and Bitfenix Spectre Pro
HDD: Samsung 830 Series 256 GB SSD
Fancontroller: either Lamptron FC Touch or Aquaero 5 pro

Watercooling:
Radiators: 3x 360 Rads
Pumps: 2x D5 Pump form Aquacomputer
Reservoir: RP-452X2 Rev. 2
Tubing: Feser UV Clear 3/8 ID, 5/8 OD
Liquid: Mayhem Pastel Grape red

And a lot of fittings, sleeved cables, Led-lighting, etc.

First pictures will come as the Hardware arrives. I have only ordered the case so far, because all of the other HW is
somehow dependend on the exact messurements of the case. Till the case is already on its way it should not be long
till the action starts :-)
(Somehow this is a present for me to ...)

Cheers,

Frank

And some other stuff I had already at home.

Since the case is somewhere betwenn LA and Frankfurt this will be my last posting for a few days in this buildlog. Unless there are questions or suggestions. Oh, and the processor is an i7 3820. It is only the box of a 3930k whistle.gif

And two pics of my personal rig. There is still a lot to do, too. And how often does it happen that a led-light is faulty ? The upper one on the CPU-Block just gave in ...

Cheers,

Frank

A little update. Case is in custom clearance at the Frankfurt Airport. So next week it should arrive (I hope).

And today this arrived:

Individually sleeved cables ordered directly from Corsair for one reason. I cant find them in blue for my AX1200i at any other store. But, as you can see there is something missing in the picture. Only the white ones arrived although the status on the corsair website says that both had been shipped an delivered doh.gif I am always happy when things like this happen !!! I hope that this is not a bad omen for the rest of the order process ...

Cheers,

Frank

Finally, finally, finally I could pick up the M10 at my local custom authorities. They held it back for nearly a week. When I picked it up they really asked me if this is some kind of suitecase rolleyes.gif
Have not much time now, so only a sneak peak, more pictures coming in a few hours.

Till later guys !

Cheers,

Frank
