I went with a mechanical keyboard recently and i a happy with the decision. Ssd's still cost more than I am willing to spend for the space provided though, so take my opinion woth a grain of salt.

I'd grab an SSD unless you are an obscenely hardcore gamer, or REALLY want to feel like you're on a typewriter. Mech keyboards are cool but I wouldn't trade my M4 for my room mate's mechanical keyboard.

I would say that a mechanical keyboard will have more of a consistent presence in your awareness of how you interact with your computer. Translation: You'll notice the keyboard more.
On the other hand, there is no tangible performance gain from a keyboard, and an SSD does noticeably speed up load times, if that's something that bugs you.

Actually, I change my mind. Go for the mechanical keyboard. SSDs eventually die and get slower over time. Mechanical keyboards last for a good amount of time.

That's a stigma from the early years. So do HDDs. Hard drives do last longer, but you'll get plenty of life out of an SSD.

+1 for SSD. Mechanical keyboards are overrated imo. You will notice overall improvement with the SSD, with the keyboard you will only hear the clicking.
