Playstation 2 to HDMI... HDV-G300 any good?

Hey guys

I just picked up a brand new PS2 for €99 at the local gaming store so I could play my old PS2 exclusives again. biggrin.gif

One thing I didn't think about is that my monitors don't have RCA/VGA/DVI-I, so I can only hook it up to my 42" TV in the living room.

I was looking around the web and the simplest/cheapest option I came across was a PS2 to HDMI converter/upscaler on eBay (this one). It basically takes an HDMI and a 3,5mm audio cable and connects it straight to the PS2's main output connector thingy (don't know what it's called actually... AV Multi Out?).

Does anyone have any experience with things like this, any other suggestions?

should work great..i used one kinda like that one and its still works to this day.

it doesnt make the pic quality any better. it may be a little worse.but nothing that will break the deal. they may have gotten better since i bought mine a few years back..and i payed 40us for it
