Is there any graphics card(s) that could support multiple 3D 4k displays/projectors?

I know that the 7970 supports 4k and 3D and it is an eyefinity six capable card bus is there any way to run say 3-6 4K displays in 3D? What kind of a system would be needed to handle this? Would you need SLI/ Crossfire X? 2 Way? 3 Way? 4 Way?

3 to 6 4k displays? In 3D? On current consumer-grade hardware? I'm thinking no....

If you're talking about gaming, a single 7970 struggles to put out 40fps at 2560x1600 when you crank up ALL the settings in most games. I don't even want to think about a bunch of 4k displays.

4k resolution is 4096 × 3072. That's 12,582,912 pixels. By comparison, 1920x1080 is 2,073,600 pixels. I bet a pair of 7970's could drive a 4k monitor without TOO much trouble, but 3D? You'd likely need four of the beasts to get playable frame rates. And probably the Sapphire 6GB edition.

And that's for ONE 4k display. Not three or six. Of course, this is purely speculation, as this has never been tried before that we know of.

I agree, but I think a 4K display is 4096x2160.
