Cherry MX Board 2.0 Key Profile

Thread Starter
Guys, I'm interested in a Cherry MX board v2.0

I checked it out on Taobao and saw that the keyboard seems to have a flat profile instead of the usual stepped one like on a Filco.
I'd prefer flat ones, to be honest. Is that true for the MX Board?

Also, will I be able to change out the keycaps on this flat-style board as with normal mechanical keyboards?

I'm very interested in this board as well. I read the deskthority review, and didn't see any major red flags, aside from maybe the fact that it's PCB mounted and the risk of damage that entails from spills/dirt/etc.

I'm just wondering if there are any other issues I should be concerned about. Do the MX switches behave any differently with a low-profile keycap? Would there be enough clearance to do an o-ring mod if I so desired?

edit: sheeeeeeet, just found out that it might be limited to 2KRO. Would I be able to get around this issue with a USB -> PS2 adapter?

Be careful of the caps lock key though!
Makes getting a new keyset impossible unless you mod the key yourself

I had tried one and it's horrible. Due to the new keycap stem design, you will face stiff keys like ML switch unless you press them dead center.
