Build my rig! i have $6k Help me pick my components?

ok my HS computer club recently got an about $5,800 grant from a large pharmaceutical company to build an amazing "show off system". flashy is good and it is used at competitions with other schools for competitions for coding and things like that. we want a system to show off how badass we are and make them look bad lol

my proposed system at the moment is:

Case: Rosewill BLACKHAWK-ULTRA Gaming Super Tower Computer Case

Motherbored: ASRock X79 Extreme11

Processer: Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz

Cooler: H100 or... thinking about a custom water cooling loop use Arctic Silver 5 with both
(i have never done one before but would very much like to do it but im not sure exactly how much it would change the temps is a custom loop that much cooler? and plus the BA factor of it looking amazing)

Ram: 2x CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory

Graphics: 3x EVGA GeForce GTX 680 FTW Standard, w/Backplate 4GB

SSD: 2x OCZ Vertex 4 VTX4-25SAT3-256G 2.5" 256GB SATA III

Storage: 3x Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb

Power: CORSAIR AX1200i 1200W

Monitor: 2x Acer G236HLBbd Black 23" 5ms Widescreen LED Monitor

add ons:
Logitech G9x
Corsair Vengeance K90 Black/Metal USB Wired Gaming Performance
2x BitFenix LED-Strip White 30cm
6x 18" SATA 6 Gbps Cable

steelseries 63003SS QCK+ Mouse Pad

IF i am missing something or any help especialy with the cooling would be greatly appriciated

umm if you are going to get 3 680s you should do multiple 120 hz monitors or multiple ips monitors. If anything subtract a 680 and use that for an ips or 120hz monitor.

Might as well Water cool the whole system.. with those Ref design Gpus... Or get these.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162105&Tpk=galaxy%20gtx%20680%204gb

what do you think about 2 of these?

Good price for 200$ each if you want 120hz.

Cooler Master is releasing a Side window for it soon.

Get a Asus Rampage Extreme IV Board " more bling bling"

And most Diff go full custom water with Leds and such to really set off a light show in that thing.

Why do you need that many hard drives for just a showcase rig? I would cut a couple of drives and get SLI 690's

Nice budget.

First things first, what are you actually going to be doing on this box that needs this kind of hardware? That will strongly determine where to allocate your money.

In general though:

I'd avoid the AX1200i unless you know what you're getting into - I'm having all sorts of problems, like http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=111610 and http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?p=608833#post608833 and http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=111067

That said, it's nice and quiet, and seems from the reviews to have very good regulation. As a basic PSU, without the additional features, it seems good based on the reviews, the problem is that it's being sold as having these extra features and they don't really work.

It also only has enough PCIe outputs for 3 GPUs and in a build this expensive it might be better to have 4 for future expansion.

H100 is no better than a high-end air cooler, is more expensive, and comes with the added risk of a leak. I'd either get an NH-D14, a Silver Arrow, or do a custom loop, the problem there is to do a custom loop properly (with an aquaero, flow meter, temperature sensors, dual pumps) etc is probably 20% of your budget - you could do it for under a grand, but not by much - dual pumps for redundancy, res, 3 full cover blocks, a cpu block, fittings, aquaero, flow meter - it all adds up. If you do it, performance will be absolutely outstanding and will make an H100 look like a joke, but it will cost you so much to do it properly on a system like you're suggesting that you'll have to cut down elsewhere to stay in budget. It's also a maintenance hassle, but that may not be a hassle for you - perhaps it might even be a bonus, in terms of having stuff to tinker with and learn about.

A good place to cut down would be one less 680 - then you save a waterblock as well. It also leaves an upgrade path to put in a third one. Once the next generation of cards are out, the cost of putting in another one will come down, and you might even do what I did with my 580s - pick up a second hand one complete with waterblock for a great price.

I'd also look at whether you really need 64GB of RAM - 32GB is probably more than you'll ever use. Only you can say for sure, but using 4GB sticks would save a lot.

Although a custom loop would be a sizeable expense, it would give you something to build and learn about that just putting in air cooled stuff wouldn't.

It'll also turn a tri-sli box from sounding like someone's turned a vacuum cleaner on, into something liveable and quiet, but whether that matters to you for this build I don't know.

I wouldn't get the Vertex 4 - they have issues with slowing down when full. I don't know the full story - I recently got rid of all my Vertex 2 and Vertex 3s because they kept failing, so I didn't even consider OCZ for replacements, but I got Samsung 830s and I'd recommend doing the same, they have an excellent record for reliability, are not particularly expensive and they are very fast.

I'd also try and get 3 monitors if you can - might as well do surround if you are getting more than one, and you can't do it with 2. Having 3 monitors is a huge improvement for general productivity, and if people are going to be coding and doing other project work on this box, I'd highly recommend it. The two 680s (if you go that route) will do surround OK at medium to high settings - a third one would be ideal with 3 monitors, but if budget only allows 2, they will get decent enough frames.
