So, I have a sort of dilemma here. I currently have a 720 unlocked to four cores @ 3.4 Ghz @ 1.5 Volts. It's stable, but pushing it to 3.5 isn't possible.
Anyway, I'm thinking of upgrading, and in all honesty, I want to go intel, but I have a Crosshair V that I purchased REALLY cheaply and don't wanna go to another platform. Anyway, I'm thinking of going to a 955 or a 965. Two questions...
1: How much of an improvement will this be, in all honesty? I'm thinking not much, but I could be wrong. I mainly game, so improvement here would be best.
2:How high should I be able to push this? As noted before, I'm running a Crosshair V with 8 Gigs of DDR-1333 PNY RAM and water cooling (XSPC Rasa block).
Edit: Noticed I posted this in the motherboard section. Too many tabs open I suppose. Would a mod mind moving it over to Processors for me if it's a problem being here?
