[TPU] AMD Announces Never Settle Catalyst 12.11 Driver Update - Page 28

Using the 12.11 beta drivers (no overclock):
Idling at 500/1250 - 40 c - 0.947 V while browsing
If I apply my stable overclock (1100/1400 +20 board power limit) using TRIXX:
Idling at 500/1400 - 44 c - 1.244 V while browsing
So just applying the overclock spikes the voltage at idle. This is the known issue?
If I run Furmark or 3DMark the voltage actually drops to what I would expect while hitting max clock speeds (1100).
edit: The issue exists in the 12.10 driver as well for me...

Yeah, some people have been experiencing this issue. I have reference cards and have not had any such issues.

Also, I didn't get this problem in 12.10 either. It seems to be an isolated issue.

I have small stutters, freezes and minior lag with my new Sapphire 7950.
IS it possible that it's a drivers issue? How do i clean my grapfics drivers? Atiman unintaller just gives me bluescreen.

Happy for respons!

May well be, use Driversweeper instead thumb.gif

Can you link it? That Atiman just shuts down my PC with a random bluescreen..

What is TDR? It has something to do with the responstime with your GPU and W7, and AMD said i need to change that from 1-2 > 3-4 because AMD cards have slower respons? I don't get it.. I'm confused from this. D:

I have this new driver, and i think it may be the cause of my issue with Mass Effect 3. Performance is great in every other game, but for some reason Mass Effect 3 can hardly get past the intro "Press Any Key' screen. I'll have to roll them back to see for sure, but it's very disappointing. WoW plays great, Skyrim great, BF3 great, Minecraft great, Civ 5 great... basically everything BUT Mass Effect 3.

So far, i'm pleased with the AMD offerings and the performance at least shows they're on par or exceeding nVidia, which is great for both companies and all of us. I stopped using AMD ~8-10 years ago due to hating the Catalyst and drivers... just bought a 7950 and still having issues. Very disappointing welcome back to the red side. I know it's not the rest of my computer, since I was playing on my 460 fine... 5min later, installed my 7950, and then i get this mess.

Do you have 12.11 Beta 7 or Beta 6?

I just played ME3 last night on Beta 6 without a single issue. I've heard lots have been having problems with Beta 7.

Also, keep in mind that you are using a BETA driver. If you don't want to worry about crashes, use one of the release ones, you ding bat.
