2d Surround restarting computer

I'm pretty lost as to whats happening with my computer frown.gif

My computer will randomly restart when I have the resolution set to 5760x1080 in any game I've tried. I'm running the latest drivers and I've reformatted windows. A few weeks ago I even blew my old power supply. I replaced it and the issue still remained (it restarted on the old psu, so its not because the old one blew).

It has to be a hardware issue at this point I'm think, but before I go replacing parts at random, I'd like to know whats going on.

anyone have any ideas? Any theories would be extremely useful! Thanks!

What is the wattage on your new PSU?

You say it randomly restarts, does it just reboot or BSOD? Also, have you overclocked your GPU's if you have take the OC off and see if that happens again.

1000w

restarts, no BSOD.

They're factory overclocked http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130590&name=Desktop-Graphics-Cards

And I know for a fact they're not overheating or anything, same with the CPU. An example of this is, I just started playing Planetside 2, and as soon as I got into the game, it instantly restarted within a second of leaving the menus.

The computer never does this when running a more normal 1080p res, just when I put it into the higher, 5760x1080.

ok,

Hmmm, Does furmark crash your machine when you use the multi-GPU client? If that is fine then it's not the hardware.... Could it be the game doesn't support surround?

Just tried furmark, negative on crashing my computer. I guess that's a good thing smile.gif

Like I said, I've tried every game I own, they all seem to crash my computer. I am however playing a lot of betas / alphas at the moment.

Right, i'm putting this down to the game rather than the drivers/hardware. it's clea that the hardware is fine and the drivers are working however it's probably going to be the game that you're playing. If I remember rightly the game itself has to have native support for surround, forcing it sometimes doesn't work which is what I think is happening here.

Sorrry mate
