It wasn't easy convincing my self to drop that much cash on a system when I wasn't sure how much use it would actually provide. It's been great having it though so far. I use it on a daily basis, and having the power on demand has really proved useful. Ripping music and then converting from flac to VBR has dramatically decreased in time. Haven't tried any video encoding/decoding yet though. Will have to give that a try some time soon.
