I start to wish i'd have stay on my old 460 i just replaced it because of a broken fan, never had issues with it. Really start to miss NV i never had such a RMA odyssee with them.
I'll wait till the next drivers, then i gonna send the thing back and jump back to NV. It's a bad feeling to not know if smth is broken or not.

i've had the same issue on my 2nd RMA 7970

it happens to me in CSGO as well

Do you know if there is a fix on the way for the 7XXX series when it comes to WoW lockups?
One of many threads on the topic can be found here

I myself have experienced this issue, and so far running in DX9 mode has solved the issues (only seems to happen when running in DX11 Mode) and has happened with all drivers starting with 12.9
Thanks thumb.gif

I have also been having this issue. Thought about going back to the game so I checked out Mists trial but I got constant hard locks on DX11. DX9 did seem to help for me as well.

it's kinda strange because gpu heavy stuff like hitman or bf3 is running fine. If i would have this problem in any game i already would have rma'd the thing for the 3rd time and switch to NV this time.

I personally believe that the problem is limited only to DirectX9 on Windows Vista and later and only to WDDM drivers, while HD 7000 is first product where they tried to enable the benefits which has DX9 in Win7, but does not have in WinXP or earlier.

DX9 on Win Vista and later can swap data from graphic memory to the normal memory. I believe that games which are not aware of such feature may show unpredictable reactions. This was added to DirectX9 too late...

Well I noticed two things:

1) Slight artifacts/boxes on top corner when opening some apps in Windows 8

2) The drivers aren't really doing that well in Windows 8 because no matter which game you play, framerates fluctuate even when the usual apps are running in the background. On a quad core processor you didn't really expect that in Windows 7 or XP. As much as it is a thing for Microsoft to solve, I guess perhaps AMD might be able to check into the issue as well

Yep, just went through a few forums and it was also pretty evident via Google search that - There are lag spikes in Windows 8. No matter which game I play, it has lag spikes (some having more and some having less). Anybody else faced this over here and can it even remotely be fixed via a driver?

In my experience two things have caused this:
Torrent software
MOM.exe process
CCC.exe process.

Try killing those.

Recently in some DX9 games my display driver stops responding. On 12.11 beta6. Not sure why. I played BF3 for 4 hours straight yesterday in the same server and it never happened. I do have an OC but it is stable. I cannot imagine why its happening but it started yesterday or the day before.

Still flickers in dx9 (World of Tanks). AMD lied about fixing screen corruption...( They just dont care about users. Probably this is my last AMD card.
