[SARCASM] Oh sir, you're damn right! That slow moving tech, it takes years to make a difference. Also 1650x1050 will represent the majority of gamers for years to come! It's such a demanding resolution that will make the 3GB VRAM framebuffer cry, along with the driver optimization going on Tribes:Ascend these days. That shure is a very valid point, it is back on 5XX series from Nvidia, as you stated. But who cares, right?[/SARCASM] P.S. No bad vibes mate, just kidding you may well be right about that especific game, but you need to find (or make) a benchmark with newer drivers and also, if possible, in 1080P or higher to make your clain more relevant. thumb.gif

There is 1920 x 1200 and 2560 x 1600 benchmark if you only took time to scroll down the page you'd have noticed this.

Trust me i've played this game since open beta, nothing has improved for AMD on this game.

Does anyone here get screen flickering on idle clocks?

I get the occasional screen flicker when using Word or browsing web pages. Everything else works fine, including gaming. Don't get this problem on 12.10.

So far 12.11 B11 is pretty good.

Exactly the same problem here, although of course in 12.10 I got the artifacts in DX9 games instead. I've stopped using MSI Afterburner and briefly Firefox but the problem persists, albeit less frequently with the latest beta 11 drivers. It's still there though and it stubbornly refuses to let me record it; it's also more likely to happen after the PC has been on for a few hours, rather than soon after booting.

If I hadn't run the 12.10 drivers without the issue I'd have returned the card and gone back to Nvidia by now; but as I know it must be software/firmware related I'm trusting the driver team to get this sorted once and for all.

Gave beta 11 a second go but had the driver crash a couple of times alt tabbing into dishonored, Black screen for a few seconds before a quick set of beeps and the driver reloaded. Issue not present with beta 8.

I am running on Beta 11 as always without any major trouble. Flickering is less visible, however still present.

heard this happens when the idleclockrates are too low for some people. You may try to givee it a higher clockrate. There are some tutorials in the net.
