I get the occasional screen flicker when using Word or browsing web pages. Everything else works fine, including gaming. Don't get this problem on 12.10.

Yes same problem here.

I've tried but I don't think they're compatible with the beta version(s). I couldn't save the settings.

Now I am newly returned to ATi/AMD after a long spell with Nvidia, so I could be doing something wrong but I had no problem saving settings with 12.10, it's only the 12.11 betas that haven't been playing ball.

Brought back some old demons for me. On desktop screen tear with almost full second delay when moving window side to side on duplicated monitor. Had this back in 12.8 or some old summer driver I used. Fixed the issue and has never happened since this new beta driver. But I'm getting much better Fps and all around stability with this beta so ill make due. It'll probably be fixed again like it was before hopefully. Did same steps and contacted them like last time and it seemed to work. Now I wait...

Stuttering was there but with Radeon Pro I dipped the flip queue size to 1 and the stuttering was nearly 100% gone. One thing I do like about the new drivers is that if my monitor goes to sleep while using DisplayPort, it no longer wakes up in 640x480 resolution. The error used to say that the voltage was too low to operate at full resolution or something. Additionally, my card is running 1-2 degrees cooler as well using the same settings.
I still need to do some more testing with other games but so far these drivers are way better than the previous betas.

I also noticed improvements in some games changing FQS to 1.

unusual, usually dropping the flip queue increases stuttering, but decreases lag.

I'm not seeing any stuttering using FQS to 1. I was expecting a slight increase in frame rates but I've not.

no, you should not see any increase in frame rates. Theoretically, you should see better frame rates as you increase it, as the additional buffers are more cpu bound. Assuming you have a powerful enough cpu.

All flip queue does is add additional sequential front buffers.

if set on 3, there are 3 additional sequential front buffers, if set on 1, there is only a single additional front buffer.

The additional buffers are supposed to alleviate any renderer latency (stutter) but increase input lag due to increasingly outdated frames.

its unusual that it has the opposite effect as the driver default is 3. unless it was initially set to zero for some reason.

Is there any way to change buffer values through CCC? There is a triple buffering option but only for OpenGL applications.
