LOL, i'm trying.
I'm coming from a pair of x-fired 6970's, so i'm not new to AMD taking their sweet time with fixes.
But Sometimes you get off work and just wanna play a game to relax, not look for fixes, so it gets frustrating.

I can see how these driver issues could EASILY be mistaken for a hardware issue.
Especially the checkerboard flashes in Far Cry 3, makes ya think your GPU mem is bad.
Then you load the CAT 12.10's and all is well again, but then FC3 becomes a slideshow.

Now that you mentioned it, i wonder how many returns for faulty hardware were actually just driver issues with the 12.11's

I'm sure AMD's driver team has nothing to worry about taking their sweet time fixing issues while creating more and more frustrated customers.
I mean, It's not like their jobs are on the line or anything. rolleyes.gif

Tip for AMD, most games get released in the 4th qtr.
Take your vacations in the summer and actually do some work in the 4th quarter.
Nobody cares if you release a great driver next summer for a game they finished last winter.

i know how you feel and i feel the same way.
I just got tired about reporting my issues every driver. It doesnt change anything, anyway - nothing happens. I RMA'd 2 cards im on my 3rd now, i tested all cards on different PCs with the same issues, either im surrounded by broken Hardware which just bugs on DX9 Games or there is some Flaw in the Drivers. After nearly a year my patience is gone and i don't understand and don't want to understand why this takes so long anymore. I got the feel that the latest changelog is more about winning time and "showing the world that AMD is on that Issue". However i lost my trust. When i get a new game now im not happy im worried if it will run well -.-

which games do you play have the worst issues? for me its dota2. csgo is usually fine with lighter flickering. those are the dx9 games i play most

I use Acronis True Image.
As a matter of fact, make the second partition large enough to store all your pictures, mp3's or whatever you constantly update and don't want to lose when you restore your image.
Ok, enough about that.

I was getting texture flicker in Hitman and shadow flicker in FC3 using 12.11 beta 11 on my 6970. 12.10 solved the hitman issue and now the only shadows that flicker in FC3 are grass shadows during cutscenes.

Its really sad where you have different problems with every driver. From what I found 11.12 is pretty good driver for a single card with Dx9. But all the other ones have games it works well with or doesn't. I really would rather just update my drivers once and every few weeks and be done with it I don't want to change drivers for every game I play. Not only that but just reinstalling a driver with AMD with three cards is quite a headache by itself. Takes me a good 45 minutes to clean uninstall, atiman, then delete registry keys. I could be past a level or two in a game by that. Just like what was said above I would like to actually game then have to look for a fix before I game. People say they are tired of hearing about people complaining about drivers. I'm tired of reinstalling drivers. I don't even like gaming that much anymore because of this. again like said above before I buy a game I have to research it really will work or not with my cards and drivers its sad.

Offler, Skyrim rarely flickers for me with 12.11 beta11. I have an HD 7970M. Flickering was much worse with earlier betas,
