I OC mine to 625MHz and 850MHz for memory so yes it's normal to expect 40fps smile.gif so @ that clocks it literally surpass the GT630M.

But looking at the Nvidia choices at the time i had to buy 2gb gtx 670's and they cost more than the AMD cards.
And buying 4gb GTX 670's the price difference was even more.
Seeing so many rave reviews about AMD's new 12.11 drivers and how great the 7xxx series cards performed with the new drivers, really had me convinced AMD was on the right track, and had turn their driver issues around with the new 7xxx series cards.
Add to that AMD had a better price point and "never settle" promotion, i thought... "how can i go wrong".
Yeah, well, just read all the issues in this thread.
x-fire performance / support is crap, texture flickering in multiple titles, stuttering , and as usual poor driver support. Even the windows desktop gets errors!
Funny how not a single review mentions any of these issues!
I'm now 100% convinced that if AMD is working as hard at improving its drivers as it says, then the only conclusion one can reach is the driver team is just plain and clearly incompetent.
And they are getting paid to do a job that they simply do not have the talent or resources to do.
AMD needs to wise up and start firing the incompetent people and hire new talent that can show actual results.
Or the entire company is going to be unemployed in the near future.
And that isn't me just trying to be a jerk, it is just the plain and simple truth.
And i hope all of AMD's unemployment checks take as long to show up as their half/arsed driver fixes do.
So they can see what it is like to feel screwed over and over again, while getting nothing but excuses and promises in return.
(there, now that part is just me being a jerk... thumb.gif )

It can be frustrating ? yes, but i guess the point of this topic is to search for solutions and alternatives with mods, another software or even registry cleaning,
i guess raging against ATI over here is not going to make any difference.

I remember being that butthurt when my 6970 was new and Skyrim was crashing. Turned out it was more a case of Bethesda fail than ATI.

Its been since October since a none beta driver was released. And most the games we all want to play on holiday break come out after October. So everyone here is forced to use beta drivers not by choice. FC3 and AC3 both crash unless your using beta drivers. FC3 was suppose to have been a AMD Gaming Evolved supported game its advertised as that (see link). Even comes free when you buy a card (see link). It is a total fail to give out a game with your GPU's that only works on buggy Beta driver. So you point really means nothing since they don't have a non beta driver that works with these games they are giving away with their cards.

Do they crash when run on a single GPU and non beta drivers?

It is a shame benchmarks and test reviews don't mention issues and just talk about FPS.

What? Yeah we should be more than happy to wait for fixes a month+ after the game comes out and we have already completed it, sounds reasonable

No I don't really agree here. I spent 12 months waiting. I still wouldn't mine waiting a week after a game or so. But I have things that haven't worked for 12 months. So again your point is invalid. A game that is supported by a company and has there logo all over the place. Then that company should have a working driver on release or at less 10 days after release. We been stuck with same beta driver for 4 week and same release driver for 9 weeks or so. Patients really isn't a issue here waiting 3 months for a final release driver is 1/4 a year. I don't find that acceptable.

I had a ton of crashing problems and in windows errors until I turned off ULPS. Now not a single crash/error even when heavily OCD. It should be a sticky to turn off ULPS.
