I wouldn't say it's that bad (I considered selling mine but, decided not) I mean, i spent 400 dollars on my card. Like everyone else I expected it to work the way I wanted it to. I'm just betting on AMD fixing the issues and dealing with them for now.

Gonna give them until the end of the month and then I am gonna decide if it is worth it going with my current setup or not.

I am despertley thinking of selling my cards and just going green... the headache of dealing DAILY with driver issues is just taking it's toll. mad.gif

My worry is that once the 8xxx series is out, us long sufferin early adopters who spent £1500 on trifire cards will never get the problems sorted out. frown.gif

Nor anyone else of course... its jus annoying that its taken a whole year to get some semblance of true stability on a £1500 hardware purchase. If it were a SSD, CPU or Mobo we would have just taken it back, why on earth do we just "accept" it from GPU's? :?

I would say blind faith in a brand.

But that brand failed this round and we early adopters can't take it anymore.

The drivers for the 7xxx series so far have been terrible. Either AMD doesn't know about it or they simply don't care. I regret not getting a 660ti now.

Because i saw your post and in the other thread. If you card have so much artifacts/crashing issues you should rma your card.
I am using from the release date 7970 cf with 3x1 portrait and none of the drivers caused crashing issue.Either you do something wrogn and your system is unstable or you should rma your card. The drivers is not terrible is very solid for the majority of the owners.

For the record, I dont have any graphical issues at all with mine, just incompatibilities with some games and a bloody annoying mouse pointer problem on the left monitor at times that requires it be moved very gentle from one screen to the other to fix it.

"Most" of my problems went away with release 12.11 B11 and to be fair its pretty acceptable now, but its been a very frustrating journey to this release.

Simply not true.

I can post you my ring,my setup,my monitors. Can u?You dont even have a rig sig. These drivers are very solid. I was forced to use RC11 for 5 months.Because any driver 12.3,12.4 and 12.6 they were bad for eyefinity. The only major bug that they fixed it was with the x79 mobo. If you have a lot of artifacts and constant crashing you SHOULD rma your card.

I RMA'D twice. I don't get crashes. I get artifacts (mainly dx9 games, known issue)

But also theres plenty of known issues with current/newer released games even in dx10/11.

These are all confirmed, but if you'd like my specs, I'm using:

OS:
Win7/Linux
CPU:
Intel i7 4.5ghz
Memory:
16 GB Ripjaws
Hard Drive:
1 TB HDD, 128 GB SSD
Video Card:
Sapphire 7970 3GB OC dualx boost
Motherboard:
GA-Z77X-UD5H
