You should definitely notify Thracks about this, it might have something to do with monitor power down settings or something. Send him a pm with your findings so he can pass it on to the driver team. thumb.gif

About the Idle-Issue:

On my 7850 it helps to set the card into idlestates via overdrive (and leave it there).
The strange thing: it will go into 3dmode while playing (anyway) and back to idle-mode when stop playing.

No Profiles needed.

Do you overclock though? Once i use afterburner to apply manual overclocks it wont clock down again unless i set the low clocks myself.

Yes i do. But here only the Vram stucks and i don't overclock the Vram anyway because it hardly shows any difference. GPU OC works fine.

Seeing how good these drivers are and the demolition of nvidia really makes me feel good about not selling my 7970 for a 680 <3

My card is downclocking but only to 500mhz and .943v (stock) when being used on a 1440p resolution. When I switch to 1080p it downclocks properly to 300mhz and .8v. What could be causing this? Having the card idle at 50c is no fun.

Edit - this even happens with 12.10 so is this normal?

My core is dropping to 400 MHz just fine; memory runs at max on eyefinity, which hasn't changed. Idle at 32-34 (ambient 22ish). 12.11b3
