It worked fine in 12.9, id rather have it working as a reference card makes noise at these low clocks.

We're aware of the clock issue on the 7970, we've had two reports out of Europe today. We're on it.

On the flip side, the long-standing idle GPU clock bug for the 7870 should be solved.

Depending on how you overclock, if you set profiles in AB it will drop to idle clocks like it's supposed to.

Ok great, how long will it take to fix do you think?

I guess that will have to do in the meantime, thanks.

Is there an ETA on the fix. I am not installing anything till theres a fix. Kind of sick of AMD drivers IMO theres always something up but I need more performance from my 7970

I don't have the ETA, as I'm not on the driver team.

If you don't want to run the beta, then you can wait for a new beta version or the WHQL release in Nov/Dec.

Reporting no downclock issues with Ref Sapphire and HIS card.

Initial feedback re these drivers, good and bad.

Bad first: I think I need to revisit my overclocks.

Good: Comfortably beat my best 3DMARK11 score by 500 points even with my cpu clocked at 4.8ghz and not 5ghz like my previous best.
Since January I tried every driver to see if I could get my cards to run 1125/1575 (CCC Max) on stock volts, never could.

I just benched crysis looped, no AA and max AA-Zero crashes or artifacts.
Also just benched looped crysis 2, no AA and max AA-Zero crashes or artifacts.

The plot thickens........ thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Just an observation but did anyone notice that with the installation of the 12.10 CAP 1 profile that Dishonored has been removed from the list?

It was here last night:

IF a profile disappears from the list, it means the optimizations have been rolled directly into the driver.
