AMD 12.11 Beta Drivers - Page 61

I have reported the HDMI stuttering/receiver problems directly to our driver team. In response, I received: "I will raise this issue during our next SW meeting tomorrow. I'll make sure it gets added to the critical list."

I'll be reporting another bug tonight in regards to HDMI.

If I have a screen connected via DVI, I get my regular 1920x1080 at 60 Hz no problem. If I plug in my TV to the HDMI port, my DVI attached screen gets a permanent screen-tear about 3/4 down the screen at the same exact location all the time. As soon as I unplug the HDMI cable, screen flickers black, comes back and the screen-tear is gone.

good evening, everyone!

Finally I found a thread where someone from AMD is actually directly responding to questions of the communty and keeping us up to date!

Does that mean that this issue will be gone in 12.11/12.12 WHQL or even in one of the 12.11betas?

May I ask if you (or any1 else) have/(has) an idea why SSAA fixes this issue in some games (i. e. call of duty black ops) but doesn't fix it in "call of duty modern warfare 2" for example?

Another quirky bug in Windows 8 I will need to report, if I have VLC open, and try to open a game, either VLC will crash, or the game will crash.

I am not reporting any bugs with the 12.11 Beta currently.

I don't know if it is the 12.11 Beta or is it actually the card, but the HD 7750 likes high settings. Please improve the Linux drivers for much better performance. The 12.11 Beta under Linux installed without a glitch though.

I am using a Sapphire HD 7750 2 GB DDR3 and cannot overclock Core above 900 Mhz and Mem Clock above 940 Mhz is it because of the driver or is it because of no power connector on this card or the memory ?

P.S. : Can I ask about X plane 10 and performance with the 12.11 Beta especially the clouds ?

The DX9 flickering was reduced for me since using 12.11 b6. But it is still there. Very random + it looks now a bit different from what i can tell. In starcraft 2 it was normaly a short black shaped "flicker" now it hardly flickers anymore but if it does it's for example red, or blue (guess it depends on the buildings around) O_o. Today it was the first time it happend since i installed 12.11 b6 on the releaseday i already thought it's gone.

Come on AMD, you can do it, you can remove it completly ;D
post #607 of 1877
I've only experienced black (almost 99%) and white flickering. Never colorful.

Can you confirm that MW2 is actually USING Supersampling? I know for a fact that Witcher 2:EE completely ignores driver overriden Supersampling, for example. There should be a noticable framerate drop (please disable vsync to see). But MW2 caps the framerate at something like 91, while black Ops allows you to remove the cap, up to 500 (since it's a true PC game, ulike MW2), so you may need to jack the resolution to absurdly high levels to even tell .....

me neither, till now. But im glad that the flickering is nearly gone now (at least in starcraft 2). I played around 20-30 hours of starcraft 2 since 12.11 6b and that was the only time i noticed some flickering.

There is no FPS cap in SP.
The FPS-drop is very noticable when using 8xSSAA, and the difference in image quality is immense (165 FPS (0xMSAA) => 45 FPS (8xSSAA)). MW2 is defenitly using SSAA when i force it through the CCC.
but unlike Black Ops the flickering is still there, but less frequent.
GPU workload was at 97% (apparent maximum)
