AMD 12.11 Beta Drivers - Page 75

What's exactly the problem with HDMI? I only once connected my monitor via HDMI and the problem was, on UEFI BIOS the monitor was blinking ( on/off ). Also, after the drivers installation, it thinks I have connected a TV or something ( certainly not normal PC ). As Pixel Format is choosing YCBCR, not RGB PC Standard.

So...

-Disable HWA on Flash
-Disable HWA on Firefox ( Mozilla did it for us on Win 8 )
-Corrupted DX9 games
-No HDMI
-Small video corruptions
-Many other minor/major problems from time to time

There's something truly wrong and it's annoying. If AMD is being sold or anything related, we will be left in the cold for an other year.

I decided to try the 12.11 set today with the release of the 8th beta coming over from 12.10. Right away I noticed much worse performance in Day Z (up to 20 fps drops in lots of areas) and also a lot of flickering of white and black spikes. I was excited to try this new set, but it seems they are very bugged at the moment. mad.gif

Reverting back to the 12.10 WQHL as they are rock solid and waiting for the new certified set I guess.

I want to report that I still see some artifacts in Skyrim with the new 7970M Enduro Performance driver, but not as many as I was seeing with 12.11 beta3. I have a 7970M by the way.

12.11 is with GCN in mind so doubt it will give any performance increase on non-7xxx cards.

It's a rather minor thing, but rather annoying. Basically, when I hover across a link and go away (in any web browser), the normal behaviour would be that the cursor arrow will turn into a 'hand'. However, if I mouse over several links at a time (more prominent on sites like Google), where the cursor will change from the arrow to the hand several times, I get this mouse corruption issue for a split second whereby the cursor will have two black bars accompanying it.
Anyone experiencing this problem too? Such a mouse corruption doesn't happen when I install the Catalyst drivers.
Have this issue on both 12.10 and 12.11 latest betas.

Yep got this too.
And my friends got this too. The Mouse corruption is a long-time issue of AMD cards. Most people wont notice it because you have to move the mouse very fast so it have to change the cursor very fast. It's best seen if you move your mouse fast between textfield and a "corner" to tear a window bigger so that the mouse-icon have to switch between the "writing cursor" and the "stretching cursor". Sometimes you may even notice it in games like dota. Your cursor will turn into a strange shaped thing, to fix it you have to move the mouse out of the screen for a moment.
It's really sad that such issues are around for such a long time. It just doesn't make the drivers look good.

There is a thread somewhere in this forum about a comparable "issue". When you boot into windows the screen should "fade". On AMD cards it sometimes looks a bit like tearing. You may notice it better if you have aero disabled (basic theme) and scroll some websides. Simelar things sometimes happen at the moment when you open up the taskmanager in win7 the "fading" just doesn't look "clean". This doesn't happen with Nvidia.
This things are no big deal and most people wont notice it anyway but i think it is just not as perfect as it should be. Especially if you are used to how clean/soft it looks on NV-Cards.
I already tried to make people "see it" but most of them don't seem to care. To make it clear, it's not my system - i saw this on any system with a card from the 5000 till 7000 Series (don't know about the other Series). And i work with a lot different systems on my work at the computer store. If you don't see it you may not know what im talking about (because my bad english makes it hard for me to explain it -.-)

Can't confirm that mouse corruption (win7)
Could u please give some more detailed instructions on how to reproduce that issue?
But what I can confirm is the tearing when pressing "ctrl" + "alt" + "del".
