That may be true. But on the other side there is a flickering issue around for over 6 Months now and no fix in sight. It's not like AMD is a charity-organisation, AMD gets payed for their products and if there would be no support nobody would buy their products.
It's nice that AMD is looking for a fix but also understandable that the patience of some customers is exhausted.

I played Dota 2, BF3, CS GO, Crysis 2, GW2, SC2, NFS before these driver and since HD 7970 came out and never had flickering in games.

I don't get flickering on games actually... Only on desktop, file explorer and mostly while browsing which I do a lot. Happens when scrolling up and down or when alt-tabbing.

Do you use a displayport adapter? I use one, and thought it was the adapter itself, but I also get flickering on the desktop with this driver.

How did you fix it?

Thats CFX. Different problem and 12.11 drivers. I used single HD 7970 single GPU until 12.8.

The flickering didn't start happening for me until 12.11 beta came out.

well it depends on the games you playing. There are a lot people in different forums with DX9 issues. Strangly the Betas made the issue better for me but still not fixed.
For those getting the flickering in 12.11 when scrolling or alt tabbing. Im going to take a stab in the dark and say your using MSI Afterburner for your overclocking needs? I tried the unofficial overclocking mode 2 for a while but the flickering came back. So I simply ditched Afterburner all together for OCing and just use the OSD for monitoring with HWinfo64 and use Sapphire Trixx for my actual overclocking. Flickering gone. I wash my hands of Afterburner,

Edit: This issue for me was not in games. It was while on desktop, scrolling up or down in Firefox or file folders and opening / closing files or folders. And it happened with even a 25Mhz OC from stock clocks on my GPU but ONLY when using Afterburner and the unofficial overclocking mode 2 only delayed the issues return (it worked for a day then came back with a vengeance)
