AMD 12.11 Beta Drivers - Page 10

post #91 of 1877
Can you tell me a before after 3dmark11 combined score?
I hope AMD fixes that, becouse if the intel owners see improvements, but FX owners got crashes, and lower combined scores then they are shooting themself on the leg.

Ghost12 is the third Fx owner incl. me who's got crashes and BSOD with the 12.11, so theres something wrong with it thats sure. Also my friend and i have teh same issue, after uninstalling, and safe mode driver cleaning the 12.11, the windows cannot boot up, got a blue screen at the startup. Had to start with last good configuration, then installing 12.8 over 12.11 to make it work.
Hope the driver guys aware of this now.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Windows is terrible at accepting new drivers over old ones. It doesn't matter who makes the product, I always do a clean install of the driver.

I did complete a clean install last night and again now with beta 4. I can assure you the beta 3 ran fine. The beta 4 is crashing on benches. Before jumping to roll back I decided to give the power slider a nudge as read something in another thread. Moved to +20% and just successfully completed 3dmark 11 and vantage with no crash so far. Will now run a few game bench loops and see if continues well. I have no oc on my cards other than the factory oc

No idea what all the crashes are about but since moving the power slider in afterburner not had a single crash so ready for some longer testing now in bf3 multi. If remain stable the performance of this driver is impressive to say the least. 600 -to over 1000 points more to graphics score in synthetics like vantage and mark11 and better minimums in dirt showdown bench. The graphics points are achieved at less cpu clock also as can only be stable at 4.7 and my old benches were completed at 4.8 - 4.9 just for benching. Very impressed so far. It would have been great to combine this driver with a gpu oc but unfortunately my cards will not remain stable over the factory gigabyte oc

If you are having the idle clock bug, we need this;
Quote:
Please keep an eye out for incoming issues (12.11 beta) related to abnormal idle clocks. We need to get the exact system configuration from each user including the monitor model#. Also, please try to find out if any of them are overclocking with MSI Afterburner.

So, I need your exact system configuration. Every part, including the monitor and the OS, and the last time you patched Windows.

Do you want us to post it here, or report it to AMD's website?

Please post it here.

You can give me a dxdiag.txt file, but it'll be easier if you just tell me what components you have (including manufacturer), along with your monitor's model number.
