Trying to find a new mouse, looking for opinions.

Long story short, I used to own a Kinzu V1, however I quickly learned that the Kinzu had a retarded ammount of positive acceleration so seeing as I play many games that require precise reflexes like CSS , CSGO, BF3, Dota2 ect this mouse quickly went from the end all and be all w/ my large hands and claw grip to a useless piece of shiz, I now currently have the DA, it's very precise and nice but I don't like palming my mouse and it's simply to large and heavy to claw effectively, so I'm now looking at either the Kinzu V2 or maybe the Kana or possibly even another recommendation that's not a 1.1 or 3.0 (amazing mice I know, not interested however)... I asked in the kinzu thread and people say the kinzu v2 is really bad on low sense so I don't think it would work for me but I'm looking for opinions.

Current mouse specs -

450dpi
500Hz
Windows mouse bar 7

Most games I play I have the sensitivity low also, CSS 1.0, HoN/Dota similar, I think you get the point. smile.gif

So opinions? Anything else you need?

I want a good mouse!

turn off enhance pointer precision in your mouse options, that acceleration based on speed is inconsistent and actually pretty stupid to use in general

it doesn't take much time at all to get used to

I used a kinzu and when it started falling apart picked up a kinzu v2, I play at 800dpi (even though ss uses a different term for their scaling)

@kylestyle, you know that its the mouse(kinzu V1) that is causing the Acceleration and not the OS? If not then idk how its possible not to feel Kinzu V1s Acceleration.

@OP, have you looked at the Abyssus?

I haven't used the kinzu v1 in forever. I do know however that with pointer precision disabled and on 800 "dpi" with a 1:1 pixel ratio I have no problems with precise and consistent actions.

Kyle,

The V1 was the mouse itself, had nothing to do with OS, as far as V2... I am fairly certain it works fine 800+ but anything less than that (from what i've read) it has similar problems to the V1, now if anyone can say yes/no to this with evidence I'd appreciate it.

Woll,

I am not familiar with the Abyssus, can't seem to find any reasonable reviews on it here either, the reviews on other sites like ncix or newegg only talk about how uncomfortable it is and not how good the mouse is. There specs seem ok but I'd really like more detail... Usually I'd have no problem just going to buy something but I can't just buy it because the places around where I live that would stock it would charge a 5-15% restocking fee and that can get steep fast. tongue.gif One review does say the laser skips but he doesn't specify his mousepad or anything else of the like so it's kind of null to me.

Any other opinions? I've read people have problems on QCK (or other cloth) pads with the Abyssus, could really use some other input. smile.gif

What about the Logitech G400 or SS sensei RAW

If you mean the jittering, its actually nearly as good as the Deathadder on 450dpi by now.

Malfunction Speed should be around 3.5m/s.

I have not, like I said I'm looking for a new mouse but based on the information I'm able to find I've come here for more advice.

Well if you say it's going to be as precise as my Deathadder I'll give it a go over the next two weeks... From what I was reading the abyssus doesn't have an onboard memory chip so it's not like the da and couldn't be fixed but I'll try.

Zowie EC1 eVo for you.
+No frills/Just works
+Cord won't fray
+Smooth tracking
+No thumbrest to fall off
+Driverless
+Optical
-The scroll wheel lighting is not perfectly uniform
-Optical lighting slightly bleeds

Personally, I've went through a ton of mice. I am super picky. Nothing is perfect. This is basically the only one that I can tolerate. I hate the cord fraying, gimmicky drivers, thumb rest falling off, scratching glossy surface of other mice. And I do treat my stuff well. Someone needs to hire some of our members to help design a rock solid mouse.
