Hi guys. i will be building myself a "Fun" system. This system consist of the old 775 socket.

Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3P revision 1.6
Cooler: Megahalems Heatsink /w Sanyo Denki 2200 RPM Fan

CPU I Own ATM:

Intel Pentium 4 630 HT SL7Z9 (N0)

CPU I Want To Purchase:

Pentium 4 HT 660, SL8PZ (R0) or Pentium 4 HT 661 SL9KD (D0)
Pentium D 945, SL9QQ (D0)
Pentium E5400, SLGTK (R0) or Pentium E5700 SLGTH (R0)

Core 2 Duo E8500, SLB9K (E0)
Quads = Too Expensive lol

If there are any other good CPU's that i missed let me know smile.gif

Also what temp monitor program would be good for these older chips?

I'm not sure why you would think that "Quads are too expensive" - a Q6600 can be had for less than an E8500 - at any rate, I use CoreTemp for temperature monitoring, works prefect thumb.gif

Core Temp does not work with P4s. Neither does SpeedFan.
