P6x58d-premium and usb 3.0 doesn't work!

Hi,
i have a problem with my p6x58d-premium. The port usb 3.0 doesn't function. I'have installed latest driver for nec controller downloaded from www.asus.com. In the bios the nec controller is enabled, but when i connect a Lexar usb 3.0 key of 8gb, check the error: the device could work faster.

I have installed windows 7 x64 professional.

What is the problem?

Don't use the NEC controller driver. Use the one listed under utilities

Renesas USB3 driver.

Try updating the driver to 2.1.39.0. If that doesn't help, you can also try the latest firmware 3.0.3.4.

Update the firmware next. If that doesn't work, contact Asus.

I would call asus tech support and see what they have to say. If they have tried to help you and it doesn't work, your RMA is usually a bit quicker with them .....trick of the trade wink.gif
