[Various] AMD Piledriver FX-Series CPU Reviews (Vishera FX-8350, FX-8320, FX-6300, FX-4300) - Page 20

My mobo just got a bios update for Piledriver.

May bump up the 4300 to a 6300 if it's really only a $10 difference.

Can't wait! thumb.gif

should be a considerable boost vs my 1055t especially since the main purpose of my rig is video encoding and image rendering with Premiere pro.
OMG I KNOW, did you see my post earlier?? There is a HUGE improvement over the FX-81XX. In fact, it defeats the i7-3770k and 3820.

My 990XA investment of more than a year ago finally pays off.

I have the same thing with my Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Revision 1 is not supported but revision 1.1 is as is 1.2 .
I have no idea why it would be so as all 3 support the 8150 .

None of the benchmarks are relevant to me. I'm sorry, but I don't use Linux as a primary OS. And most of the links aren't opening. Just because I have an Intel CPU doesn't mean I take no interest in AMD.

I use Linux for everything except Adobe and games . I will still wait until I have seen benchmarks from multiple sites before I commit .

I may have paid a few dollars more getting it before midnight but i didnt wanna take the chance of them going out of stock. Last year I remember the FX cpus were out of stock for weeks it seemed.
