Four new hard mousepads from Razer - Page 3

^Out of curiosity, do you guys buy soft mouse pads and you never bother to clean them with soap and water or at least put them in your laundry?

Most of the times and most qck's I've seen are just dirty and people say that have worn out.

Thread Starter
I don't think there is a difference between Razer scarab and the destructor 2, they look identical only different name and more black.
And the invicutus is a dual side scarab one side the same and other side more speedy that you can turn around in the metal case.
At least thats how the picture looks it for me ,but later reviews shall tell.

Rather than start a new thread talking about two of the same pads. I'll ask in here. smile.gif

Now that some time has passed has anyone purchased either the Razer Invicta dual sided or Razer Manticor single sided hard mouse pads? If so, what are your thoughts?

I have and use on three different computers the Razer Vespula, Steel Series 4HD and Mionix Ensis 320. Possibly replacing the Ensis 320 even though it is the best tracking out of any pad I've used. I cannot seem to get used to the cold touch right now during the winter months. tongue.gif

Liking what I see and read from these two new Razer hard pads which are also as hard to find on the retail market as of yet. Both Invicta and Manticor is only available through Razer web site. Invicta is back order and Manticor comes with an over priced shipping cost which I have to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery. If either pad is as nice as they look and seem to track then I'm going to pick one up.

Still waiting on the Megasoma 2 but so far there's nothing new on that front. Hopefully it'll be available for sale soon.

I had Invicta more than a month now. Previous hardpad I used: SX, SP, 4/9HD, Scarab, mouse use: naga epic
@Arizonian if you don't like the cold feeling of aluminum pad in the winter like me, kindly remind that,
I still feel the cold on Invicta's frame. But not as cold as the whole pad, only a touch of the frame.
Friction wise, the big texture side is less friction than the smooth side, both sides are low friction similar to SX aluminum pad.
But without the cold wrist biggrin.gif That's why Invicta is my alternative hard pad in the winter.

Yes it did, nice job. Showed me the aluminum frame from Invicta as well as how thick the frame was next to the smart phone. thumb.gif

I'm trying to avoid that completely as the thickness of the frame looks like it's always going to make contact with your wrist as you've pointed out. Initially cold touch again. I'm looking an upgraded Vespula type hard pad from Razer and even though the surface was perfect the aluminum frame will be the problem.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and answer. smile.gif

The Manticor seems to be an aluminum pad unless I'm wrong. So I'll have to pass if it's again cold to the touch.

Anyone have the Destructor 2?

Seems a bit upgraded from the original Destructor pad and if it's got an easy glide I might be interested in that. The Destructor 2 might be my only choice out of the new line for Razer possibly. I've got the Vespula which I loved but need a bit more size. Preferably without colors other than black or dark gray this time. At the moment before I look elsewhere I wanted to see which one of the four might fit my needs from Razer.

Thanks again.

Edited to add: It's in back order on Razer website, no telling how long and none on sale online. Another hard pad to find.
