Having BIG issues with my new "AMD" computer. - Page 5

Well I looked up your power supply and it has 4, 20 amp rails. That means it could be the power supply because you have to much running off of 1 rail and you need to balance the load. I know my 4890 can pull 16 amps at max all by itself so if you have the CPU and the card on the same rail its going to be to much. I also was getting some stuttering in a few games when I was using CCC settings, set all of the CCC settings to " use game sttings and see what happens.

This is how the rigg looks like, maybe the PC should stand on the table for better air circulation?

Turn on v-sync, it could be a problem with your screen's refresh rate and the FPS your computer is managing. For instance, 60Hz screen is equal to 60 Frames per second.
I used to experience the same playing skyrim, V-Sync exists for a reason, so activate it if not in usage when you play your games. Turning off v-sync causes your screen to appear as though it had microstutter, and the screen begins to tear during games. V-Sync was made to prevent this from occurring

I always have V-sync on, doesnt help. The FPS drops from 60 to 25 instant some times.

I've had this problem when I was playing borderlands on my 6850, sometimes you have to go directly to the config file and manually tell it to allow v-sync.

No dont shut down all the settings just the ones where it says "Use Game Settings" or somthing like that, then check that box. All of the other ones that you have that don't say that you can put them where ever you want. I have a 955BE and a 4890 ( just got another on the way from another user on this site) and I play alot of those games almost maxed out with no problems, I do have to change the settings in game for each game though. What works in one game might not work in another, like I can play LOL maxed all the way out but D3 I have to turn down a few things to get it smooth.

And I play all games except FPS games with the V-Sync on. Once I get my second card I might even try some of them with it on. But I also have a 120Hz screen.

It may well be a PSU issue for shutting down. Its a little known brand and might have cheap internals - it may be able to give 850w, but not stable.

Its an 80plus PSU, so maybe someone can check the ECOS ID against other units? I'd do it, but my internet is obscenely slow.
