So here is the issue, I bought an e6700 and had huge expectations for it seeing that the e6300 and e6400's were hitting low-mid 3ghz's, and the e6600's were nearly hitting 4ghz on air, so I thought I was going to get my e6700 and clock it stable 24/7 at maybe a one ghz OC, but I was terribly wrong. I can't hit anything over 3.3ghz with this chip and even that fails prime after 10mins unless I bump the volts so that load temps hit 60C. I bought the e6700 for a little over $100 off NewEggs price for the chip, so if I were to put it on ebay I would not loose any money, but I doubt I would make money after paypal and ebay fee's on a $400-500 sale. My question to you guys is: do you think I should sell my chip and get an e6600/e6400? I know the e6600 is more powerful than the e6400 and it is a good overclocker, but those allendales are hitting amazing OC's for the price, look at TheLegend's e6400, 3.5ghz with load temps of 55c on AIR. I am more about getting more than my money's worth out of a chip by OCing it far, so I am torn between the e6400/e6600. What do you guys think? Should I even sell my chip? From what I see, my chip is performing at about higher than an e6400 but lower than an e6600 assuming they are overclocked, so why keep it with the $150 price premium over the e6600? Let me know your opinions guys, thanks a lot!
