Home office gets warm after a hour or two of gaming

Thread Starter
I noticed after an hour or so of gaming or anything really on my computer my home office gets really warm... Any solutions?

If I am able to disapate more heat coming from my computer with more rad space? Anyone else found some type of solution for this problem. The return airduct is in the hall right outside the office door however the heat never seems to escape the room. All other rooms in the house are fine.

Thanks for the help.

If I watercool everything my office should be cooler correct? I think running a 480 rad on a cpu and gpu would help. Im not really sure how heat dissipation works.

No your components may run cooler but only cause the heat is being dissipated more efficiently so the room should get hotter. Crack the window or wear shorts in the office. Nice overclocked space heater.

^this. The fact that the room gets warm means you are moving heat away out of the box. Adding an exterior rad may cool the the insides better but that heat has to go someplace and that someplace is into the air in the room.
Place a fan behind your computer where all the hot air comes out and point it to an open door of the room so that its blowing hot air away from the computer towards the hallway. You can also do this with a window. Or crank you AC up

Basically you want to lower Load of the PC under Gaming. Water will extract heat better but not make Room Cooler because same amount of heat is beaning dump. If there is no flow in the ROM having a hot Air Cooled GPU might cause hot spot which you could feel.

Yep. They've nailed it already. The room needs some kind of active cooling. The method you use to transfer the heat out of the computer isn't going to change anything.

That will make your room hotter since the gpu is having its thermal load removed faster and thus outputted into your room faster as well.

Air flow is limited. its not being sucked out to the hall way to the return air duck. My wife complains the house is freezing when I turn the AC on in the fall/winter. My office is about 100 sq feet. maybe a little larger so its not that bit. However like I said its on the second floor in the corner of the house, for some reason the heat doesn't escape from the room. It doesn't help that I recent bought a U2711, that thing alone can heat the room up
