Switched out cases and now problems

Thread Starter
so as the title says i switched out my cases to a new one which came with a new power supply larger than the one i had before (im just give all the info so ppl can help). so i install everything correctly (got a friend to come over and take a look at my wiring) i switch it on and it boots up and i get no picture. idk what the problem is idk if its the mobo or the gpu or the power supply if anyone can help me that would be great. ive plugged in the old power supply, switched around my dvi cables (tried vga but the back of the mobo doesnt have the female slot) switched monitor, unplugged my gpu and replugged it.

btw poor college student so my specs are kinda poor and old but hey gotta upgrade sometime

mobo: Asus M2Ne
Gpu: Gtx 8800 gt
Cpu: Phemon II X4 945 3ghz
8gbs ram ddr2
was 480watt (or 430 idk its dark and late and i dont want to take a flashlight out) but now 500watt (went from modular to non modular)

don't take this wrong as i am not saying your stupid but are you plugging your monitor cable into the graphics card or the mother board? i only ask as it can happen to the best of us and you mentioned your mother board has a graphics port and you show a add in graphics card which is what your monitor should be connected to.

I figured you did I was just wondering if you connected to the mother board graphics and not the card.
I built a system for a friend with a GTX 560 and when she took the system home she called and said it had no picture, she had connected her monitor to the mother board graphics port which I had disabled. LMAO, she should have used the GTX 560 port which I had told her when she picked the system up.
sorry I can't help you more but thats the only thing I could think of, and it sounds like you tried everything.
does the fan spin on your graphics card?
can you try another monitor cable?

*ahem* the uh "male" vga port on your motherboard is probably a serial port friend smile.gif

They are a similar size and shape but you will find that the serial has only 2 rows of pins (for a total of 9 pins) while a VGA port has 3 rows and 15 pins/holes.
