Hi
i have a xfx amd 6770 1gb GPU.
used it for more than 3 years.
Now the fan has started making a clicking noise.I know that points to a dying fan.
I dont want to spend 30+ $ on an after market cooler.moreover these GPU coolers are more expensive in my country(INDIA) compared to the united states.
I have read posts where users have slapped on a 120mm fan below the gpu and it has worked fine.
i can only fit a 120mm or below fan, case not wide enough for a 140mm fan.
plus i have noticed that some of my fans move more air when vertical rather when horizontal,or may be is a matter of perception.
I will either ziptie the fan or use the pci slot in the case below the gpu to support the fan.
1)So what fan will work best in this case?
the fans that are available in my country are these
