I wanna have some fun with this little APU - Page 3

I can't push the base clock past 106. Anything more and I'd get 7B BSOD no matter how much voltage I feed the chip. I guess that's the wall for this motherboard?

1.55 if the APU hold true to typical AMD chip limits. Mostly to be safe everyone sticks to under 1.5

Not sure about settings for OCing the iGPU higher just gotta play around with it and see what it likes. I would assume temps will be your main enemy on this quest.

isnt that when achi fails? Check if u set achi and switch to ide in bios and try then.

AHCI? That's a weird thing to cause the BSOD. I can switch to IDE mode but the SSD won't run at maximum performance.

When you OC and AMD cpu you adjust primarily the bus, which in turn overclocks everything else. So it can come up as other stuff failing. Just leave on ACHI and try and play with a combo or more voltage/more bus/more multiplier. Lower bus increase multi, and vise versa. Also, adjust NB voltage if need be. and try to keep HT link speed as close to 2000 as posible and NB no more than 2400. Hope that helps some.

I pretty much turned every single voltage to the limit and I still kept getting 7B BSOD.
I tried the lowest memory and cpu multiplier and still kept getting 7B BSOD.
I can't lower the bus as I need to overclock the memory. Max I can get right now with 106 base clock is 1980 MHz.
I have no control over HT link or NB as I saw no options whatsoever in the BIOS that would let me change that

Willing to bet its the board. I had a better one for mine and couldn't get much further than you did. Trinity's are the overclockers, not llanos. But with a premium board maybe you could push it.

Try switching to ide just to see if its whats causing bsod also u might wanna try just hitting 133 dont ask why it just might work since u said u lowered mem and igpu everything should be ok. About nb i have option for nb frequency on my asrock its on oc tweaker page of uefi bios.

I can't just switch back to IDE. The windows won't boot if I set the SATA as IDE. I spent 2 hours installing windows and updating it and putting stuff on it, and I would have to do it again to see if it would work. If it doesn't then I have to switch back to SATA again and start over.

I build a PC too with 3870K i won. I got 3.5Ghz with 1.5v with just Windows OC. These CPU can do 3.5-3.8Ghz MAX in air. I would not bother with HD 6670. As far as GPU in the APU it has ways to go. Had to put it on Low @ 1080p to play Dota.
