You'll need the low profile version unfortunately, doesn't really matter though, they both perform the same smile.gif

Yap, or just buy high profile and go with watercooling. Corsair H's (50,55,60,70,80,100)

EDIT: Or KÜHLER H₂O 620 and KÜHLER H₂O 920

If I want the same performance in water cooling It'll be more expensive than the Noctua NH D14, right?

Yeah, to equal it you would need a closed loop system with a 240mm rad which will cost around £80+

Ooh Okay, I'll just go with the Noctua NH D14 then, and I'll pick some LP Ram, corsair or G.Skill. Which of the to brands to choose, when all their stats are the same??

Thanks! =)

There's not much difference between brands of ram, I'd just go with the corsair. Just pick up 8GB of black low profile, can't really go wrong smile.gif

You guys think I'd be better of with a AMD FX-8150 Black Edition (Socket AM3, 3.60Ghz)??

Edit: instead of an Intel I7 3770k...
Hi royh111,

The 8 core bulldozer and piledriver chips are a trade off compared to the 3770K, however, they are perfectly viable if you understand what you are getting. Whether or not it's the better way to go for you would depend on how much emphasis your build will have on gaming vs the pro-app work. The 8120 lately has been selling for prices near i3 territory, yet can perform in a class with sandy bridge i5/i7/E3 when presented with parallel workloads. The new piledriver even edges that performance up a touch, and can trade blows with the Ivy bridge i7s in parallel workloads at a lower price. The trade off, is poor single threaded performance and higher power consumption.

If you're in the market for an 8150, my suggestion would be to look at the 8320 if the price is similar, or the 8120 if the price is much lower. The 8350 seems to have the most inflated initial pricing so that would depend on pricing for sure.

I'll go for the 3770k Intel wink.gif I prefer quality and lower power consumption, still it's kind of weird, AMD can sell quite fast processors, for a low price..

Hi guys,

what if I wanted to make this pc a little bit less expensive, what would be the most common part to save on?

Thanks!
