The Note 2 would be the better choice. Faster, more features, bigger, better screen with better pixel matrix.

So just an update, I ended up returning the Note 2 and getting an S3, because honestly the size was just to big. Talking on the phone..was..well made me look like an idiot lol. The thing is huge, and I honestly didn't realize just how huge until I used it as a phone for a week. Now don't get me wrong, it's a great phone feature wise and power wise..but the size..got to me. The S3 tho is still an amazing phone and I'm really enjoying it.

So, I'm sorry to bring this thread back up but I saw the Droid DNA come out, and I just got my S3 5 days ago, so I still have another 9 to return it. I'm seriously considering switching my S3 for the DNA, what do you guys think?

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but the Droid DNA comes out next week I believe. Anyways when you get a chance to go see it, please go see it.

It is very promising so far from what reviewers have said. It scores about 13% higher in quadrant than the Note 2, so it is the fastest phone by a large margin. It also has that 1920x1080 screen (440ppi) which is absolutly insane.

My only concerns with it are that it has a small battery which might be a problem with the 1080p screen and the super fast processor. It also doesn't have an SD card slot, so you are stuck with 16gb I believe.

So yeah, go see it, and if you like it, go for it. It should be a pretty awesome phone. Just remember that the S3 is awesome too. Nothing wrong with keeping it.

Try to avoid the DNA. It's a very unpredictable device at the moment.

http://blogs.computerworld.com/android/21372/htc-droid-dna-buy-or-not-buy

It has so many issues and lackluster specifications that any developer that's even considering taking this thing on, will spend most of his time just alleviating those issues before actually bringing an AOSP project to it.
And if you're not planning on rooting or installing a custom bootloader, you'll be even more SOL because the stock rom has poor: performance, battery life, call quality and audio volume.

If you're content with a device that has those issues, go right ahead lol.

But although it has a lower processor, the GS3 is the gold standard at the moment. If you don't like the Note 2, stick to the GS3.

Where? From users or you actually read an article? Because, honestly every article I have read shows that the battery on the phone is NOT bad at all for the device it has to power. It scores a 32 minutes less time on the battery drain test then the S3, and that's with having 2 more cores and a higher res screen. I'd say that's pretty damn good of a battery.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/16/droid-dna-battery-life-impressions-its-not-nearly-as-bad-as-you-think-with-stats-methodology/
http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-droid-dna-battery-test-results-133153/
And i can show you more sources of other people actually using the device as a daily user and getting same if not higher battery time then the S3.

Honestly this is one review, by one guy in comparison to about 10 others that I have read that stated the opposite. So, Thank you for sharing, however as stated above, the battery life is just fine, and I have played around with the phone in a store and honestly didn't notice ANY performance lacking, if anything on a lot of things such as opening up a browser, or when I had lots of apps open it was actually NOTICEABLY faster then my S3. Also on Benchmarks the DNA comes out anywhere from 10 to 20% above then the Note 2, which is about 24-29% faster then my S3.
