Interesting being belittled and called a console kiddie because I enjoy playing my PS3 more than my PC. Let this little "kiddie" inform you about reality. I have been playing console games since I got my Atari 2600 back in the 80s. I have been playing PC games since I have built my first windows 3.1 PC and was really hooked on Sim City. I have since built a PC almost every 2 years and owned almost every console released since the Atari 2600. I have seen this same lame old "PC vs Console" many times on the internet since the early 90s.

Out of all of this I've learned: Not to be a prick and judge others on what they play. People have different tastes.

Almost all of my friends play on PS3 and play together. Sure my PC can handle CoD MW3, but are my friends there?(My real life friends btw). Nope they aren't. What do I choose then? Simple, I choose to enjoy myself and have fun with my friends on the PS3. I'd rather play 10 FUN matches in a night with my friends(on my $300 PS3) then play 100 matches with strangers who will just sit there and talk crap(on my $1500 PC). Someday when you are older, and you have a wife, a full time job, and very little time in the day to really do much, you'll understand this.

Newcomer chiming in here. I'm married, employed in a full time job among other things that keep my life quite busy with very little time to myself. I own a Wii, PS3, and had a 360 but sold it. The only reason either of the others are still around is: PS3 is (err... was...) my media center, and honestly isn't worth selling for the measly cash I'd get for it now.

In actual terms of enjoying the gaming factor, neither console can hold a candle to a good PC. I know that's not what you were implying. I'm just saying... even with what little time I have to play, I'd take PC over any console any day.

PSN was hacked, but not the console itself. Two completely different things.

I'm paraphrasing here, but I think he's trying to say "graphics aren't the most important thing" when it comes to gaming. If that's what is being said, I agree.

I haven't gamed on my PC for a couple years now and I'm strongly considering parting it out and spending what little cash I get on some new tires for my bike or something. Gaming isn't my life, and when I do game it's on my couch playing CoD/BF3 or Little Big Planet 2 with my wife.

If someone is a 'scene dev,' what wouldn't they try to be sharing their work with others who would benefit by new custom firmware?
?I LL bite, back in the far past console hacking was big business, they would even change chips in console.said pirate were bad for business supposedly.(they re probably the reason they sold so many console lol.when internet evolved to what it is today those backer moved on (more money on the web)oh some smaller scale still is in the scene but the big one left.they don't share because they don't want to get caught.its a closed circle.kind of useless these days lol (since you can play any of the game or whatever on computer .its probably why HACKER MOVED ON.

Ok, well that's great news a PS3 can play Ps1 games... my misconception. As for not being able to emulate PS2 games, I understand completely but still find that kind of silly. I guess I'll have to just get or make ROMS of all my PS2 games I want to enjoy since my PS2 went kaput after a decade. Amazingly... my 1st gen PS1 still rocks fine, if I can find the cables or controllers lol.

Yes, this is my point. Doesn't matter if you are playing on a console or a PC, what matter is that your having fun. My wife and I play LBP2 on the PS3 as well and we have fun. We also play League of Legends/Torchligh2 on the PC and we have fun.

All that matter is that you are having fun and enjoying yourself.

The longer they delay PS4 then more hacks/exploits/etc people will figure out with the PS3. When you've been sitting on a piece of hardware (like a fat cow) for 7+ years you start to get very experimental with it. I know I do this with my old hardware.

They need to hurry up with the next generation.
